On March 14th we had the pleasure of having the Chairman of Chanticleer Holdings and CCU Class of ’84 Grad Mike Pruitt speak to our club about CCU Baseball, “Step Up To The Plate” and the Mike Pruitt Scholarship Fund. Mr Pruitt played on the CCU Baseball teams that went to the NCAA World Series in ’83 & ’84 and has been a proud supporter of the baseball team for many years. “Step Up To The Plate” and the Mike Pruitt Foundation were established to provided scholarships for Coastal Carolina Youth Baseball Camps to give underprivileged kids in Horry County from ages 8-12 the opportunity to learn about the game from the CCU baseball team.
